Yes it is misleading, and that is annoying i can give you that, But technically it is not a scam if they tell you upfront that you have to pay, and you actually get the trip, a scam would have little or no compensation.
But I would really like some responses from people who have been on the trip, because yes, we are taking it.

1. Written by Mike, on 27-02-2010 13:27 I did buy into it as well. Anyone know how much of the time during the trip is spent with the "host"? Tyler, how long after you sign up, do you have to get your processing fee back?
2. Written by Tyler, on 11-02-2010 17:40 Just want to say this company isn't a scam just liars. They could tell truth of what they realy do and sell. They are in the buisness of time shares. This is just a marketing ploy to get you down there Daytona, Orlando. Fort Lauderdale, a cruise to the Bahammas and anywhere else they have time shares. I never went on it but i did buy into it (and am currently in the process of getting my processing fee back)and did do alot of research. So if you want to go and listen to a sells pitch to get you to buy into there time shares while having your accomidations paid for and have a vaction you truly wern't expecting then go for it or for the same amount or probably cheaper go contact a local travel agency and plan the vaction you truly want.

4. Written by orange blossoms, on 27-01-2010 16:35 I actually contacted the Florida Dept of Agriculture and Consumer Services (I suggest you all do the same). The company is pretty much new - just started Aug 2009. To date, they have 5 complaints. Four complaints had "satisfactory" results, and the last is still in progress. In addition, I am also looking at what Florida says about these types of businesses and the Rules and Statutes regarding these kinds of operations - so that I know if they are operating legitimately. I also looked up the company on BBB. BBB rates it a B- (once again everyone, look it up for yourself). And the company is not accredited by BBB. It's so very important to be an informed consumer especially w/ all the scams going on. BTW, YES, I was offered a "vacation valued at $4,000" and took up on it. There was a processing fee ($249/person). I am worried after reading these negative reviews, but I don't know for sure if this is a scam, because the company has been upfront about a couple of things not covered (e.g. processing fee, tax, not a lottery/sweepstake, transportation fee) and requirements to qualify for the trip (participation in 90 min host orientations at each place). The only thing I don't like is the fact that they're operating w/ two names that I know of (Amazon Travel Club & Amazon E-Travel). However, I spoke w/ FL Dept of Cons Svcs, and companies can do that by filing other forms. I will proceed w/ caution and let you all know what else I find out.
